The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is latest version of the Murcielago, powered by a new 640-horsepower 6.5-liter V12 engine with permanent all-wheel drive, based on Lamborghini\'s VT (Viscous Traction) System which distributes the torque front to rear without the use of electronic controls. A new 6-speed transmission and stronger rear differential are added and an e-gear transmission that automatically operates the clutch and changes gears is available as an option. The restyled body features new front and rear bumpers incorporate sharp, crisp lines with larger air intakes and a more angular splitter at the front and a new rear diffuser that includes a single large center exhaust outlet. The rear lights are a new design with a single piece lens and individual lights behind. The Murcielago LP640 is offered as a coupe and a roadster, and the roadster receives the same updates as the coupe while retaining the steeply raked windshield, tapered side windows and radical rear buttresses that flow into the rear fenders.
